So, I decided to start doing something new here on the blog.  Every friday, I’m going to put up MY favorite photo’s.  The whole reason I ever got into this was my love of photography.  And one thing I have learned in the recent months, is no matter how much I do love what I do, I still need to shoot just for the fun of it.

So todays friday fave….I actually did awhile back.   I went to the zoo..with a friend (don’t tell my  kids LOL).   And it was SO much fun, not worrying about where my gang was and just shooting the animals.  Plus it was a cool day, and they were all very active and wanted their photo’s taken.  Especially the Lions….I really wondered what they were thinking as they stared me dow.

and I LOVED how they had matching t-shirts on their family picture.   But this little stinker would only smile for ONE person, and as long as his daddy was RIGHT in front of him he was fine, but when he moved his head so I could get the shot, the frown was RIGHT back.  It was so funny.

so these three friends who have gone to school for YEARS together decided to get some pictures done (ok ok their MOMs decided) to celebrate this milestone.  And all three were a riot, esp when they headed outside and played a little football (a.k.a. keepaway).

and I loved having the different location to “play” in.   They had the coolest of places, and even though we fought the wind a little (well maybe alot), we still had fun and I can’t wait for them to see all the shots.

he is a pretty good graphic artist (and headed off to school in that field) and it was awesome to talk about this stuff and not have his eyes glaze over in about 2 minutes like it does with all my friends and family.  Plus him and his mom were full of laughs, and we got some great photo’s during the afternoon.

that even with the nice days we had, the water in the fountains were ICE cold.  But he was game (well sort of, there might have been just a bit of pressure) and at least we waited until the end before shoving him in there.

except for the part where he would NOT sleep.  At all.  At least until he went back home and snoozed the entire afternoon away according to his Aunt.  But we still ended up with some shots that I love and that hopefully his parents will adore.

to meet this little one, and I had a great time with his/her parents while doing their maternity session.  In the next coming weeks, I’m going to be stalking my email and phone for word of their little ones arrival.

This is what happens when I can’t sleep.  Keep checking back, there will be more changes, I don’t have it quite perfect yet, but I’m getting there. lol

But while you wait, take a peek at this senior boy.  We were rained out the first few times we did this, but we finally got a break and were able to get them done.  He did a great job, even when he DIDN”T want to smile.

and I had so much fun with the group of kids that came by.   After the couple shots indoors, we headed outside for some fun shots as well.
