and to make this one even more special, we welcomed a new member to our family when she married my cousin (and Godson) this summer.  ON my birthday even….well if I was still HAVING birthday’s anyway.   So welcome to the family Kate…..and if you all want to see a few more, head over to the facebook fan page.

for this couple, even thought I did feel bad for the guys since they were all in full uniform on this very warm day.  But everything went perfectly, we had lots of smiles and fun, and by the end of the night…..well lets just say the groom probably got in a bit of trouble after tossing his new bride into the SWIMMING pool.

I’ve gone AWOL again, and I really do have a good excuse, I promise.   I LOVE shooting weddings, but I always forget the amount of work there is on the back end.  But its worth it, weddings are turning into my favorite events to shoot.  And I have several more to show soon as well, it was a busy wedding spring.

who came in to the studio for some shots right before their wedding, and we had so much fun playing “dress up” and got some great photo’s for them to remember their day.

and yes I’m totally humming that song as I’m finishing up this wedding.  Most. Fun. Ever.  That about sums up this afternoon/evening.  I knew going into this that we were going to have fun, their invitaions were BOARDING passes…so so cool.  And of course this theme wedding and reception was held at the Wichita Aviation Museum, COOLEST location (and I’m totally taking my kids there this summer), we had tons of laughs and smiles, so just take a LOOK at what we were all up to.

and I’ve been so lucky to meet some amazing people in my journey.  This whole event went off perfectly, and you could really feel how much this couple loves eachother just from being in the same room with them. 

It was the COLDEST day ever but this wedding party still braved it for some fun pics outside.   We ended up with some great shots and lots of smiling faces while celebrating their day.

with this couple and their bridal party, the boys were on top goof off mode, the girls were full of smiles and I think we laughed during the whole event.   And then to top off the whole evening….when I asked the grooms brothers what they did in the Navy, I ended up getting the “if we told you we would have to kill you speech” and I wasn’t quite sure if they were joking or not. LOL
